Since everyone seems to be talking about/ reviewing Forza 6: Apex, I thought I'd do something different. I've been following the evolution of this game for quite a while now, and when I noticed a link to the beta on their Facebook webpage (go check it out), I promptly downloaded it and started playing.
Before I begin, I must stress that this game is in the development stage and that this is a beta version. Anything that I mention may be changed before the final release later on.
The first thing which I discovered about this sport is that there is no lag. Whatsoever. That is impressive, considering that my telephone is pretty much sh*t in regards to gaming.
I can't really discuss the graphics, because it's not supposed to be realistic and keep in a million fps all the time. It looks great for what it is. The frame rate was good throughout, not a single lag spike.
Now, moving on to the gameplay. It does take some time to become used to, but after that it is simple to perform (still entertaining). The story mode isn't available from the beta, together with body kits and some other things. There are three difficulty levels: Beginner, Amateur and Expert. The 'Beginner' choice is offered in the beta, though.
There's four main race types: Drag, Street, Story and Online. The first two are usable. Both of the menus that are unlocked have their own sub-options. Along with this, there is a Test Drive choice from the Garage.
The beta version contains almost 60 cars. As of this moment, the majority of the collection is composed of Japanese and German cars, but the developers have stated that they are planning to add in more American cars (thanks,Ian :P). There is also various kinds of car customization, to chairs from turbos to wheels.
It is the price of the automobiles if there's 1 thing which bugs me. The majority of them are $10K.
